In this teaching taken from the Gospel of Matthew, in the 8th chapter, we see the shift from Jesus' powerful sermon and his "authority in word", to a display of power and "authority in deed". We also explore the literary form and function of Matthew's Gospel and discuss its Chiastic formation.
